Hu's

I've arrived in Shang Hai after a hellish 17 hour plane ride. I had to endure a 13 hour flight with a group of young korean christian missionaries going to Thailand.
I was so upset at their ignorance of other cultures as well as their OWN culture. None of these kids could speak Korean, or any other asian language. They were making stupid cultural comments like " I like switchfoot." and " In europe, they close the stores at like 6pm, you can't even shop."
They were completely white-bread and i thought it was really pathetic.

So then I get home to my grandma's house and light some incenses, and bow three times. My aunt and uncle are there, its their house and my dad is pissed off at them. Apparently everyone is! They refused my grandma's dying wish of, coming home and they didn't call or visit her for close to 3 months. It was really shitty of them, and on the day she died, they finally came to the hospital and the only thing my uncle asked for was her bank account pin number- so he could empty her account.
It's totally bullshit and none of my aunts and uncles could believe their older brother would be like this. My uncle told my aunt he didnt even want to have funereal!!

When I get to where i'm sleeping, My little cousin Emily (10 years old)says to me,
" my grandma died" and then motioned the "index finger slicing of the neck" motion to signify death. She seemed real sad, and she is completly filled in on what our uncle did, She then told me she wants to beat up our uncle. She put down her Gameboy, made a chubby fist and then Jump-Punched the couch, to show me how she would hit him. She then showed off her new puppy, a black toy poodle. They've had it for 3 weeks and have yet to name it, She said I could name it and I named it Chocolate. Then she showed me her new art, she did a really good drawing of her tennis shoes and it was taped right next to a painting that she did in Second grade (shes in 4th grade now )of birds on a branch with cherry blossoms- in the chinese water color brush style. She told me she wants to be an artist (like me) when she grows up and was seeking advice on her work.
